Pass In Time

I’m feeling snarky today. I don’t know what it is. Maybe it’s the fact that there are lots of sucky people in this world and I hate them. Maybe.

Let’s see. Well, there’s the girl who stole and presumably consumed my dragonfruit and yogurt. Maybe she’s the same girl who always leaves the fridge door ajar so that the contents get covered in gross condensation and get spoilt more easily. Maybe.

I can’t even remember what my DailyOM or horoscope tried to tell me today. Those little messages usually uplift me. Oh yeah. Today’s horoscope said, “Don’t lose compassion.” How apt.

Why do people annoy me so?

And WTF is up with Apple and their constant iTunes updates?

Thank God for warm, fresh-steeped Earl Grey tea. I caved and bought some Marks and Spencer teabags last weekend. Lipton Yellow Label may be my paternal grandmother, mother and Asia’s #1 English tea but sometimes a girl needs a little bergamot oil.

Tea lovers, I highly recommend M&S Earl Grey. The box says that these lovely teabags are “light, delicate & aromatic.” I agree. Go M&S.

A few squares of 88% cocoa dark chocolate can’t hurt either. You know I’m desperate when I’m eating the remnants of Robert’s Hachez bar that fell way below my Neuhaus-loving standards. In all seriousness, if you’re going to pay $7.90 for 100 grams of imported European chocolate, it better be damn good. If it’s meant to be pure and smooth, it shouldn’t be gritty and leave an aftertaste. Bleh. I’m sorry, Germans, but the Swiss and Belgians have got you beat in this area. Bleh bleh bleh!

Let’s look at the bright side. Hrmmmm.

Last night, I caught a Korean film called April Snow with Bora, Ji Young (Korea), Matt (Oz-land), Elva (Hong Kong) and Yoichiro (Japan). After the film, we sat at the Youth Park outdoor kopitiam (across from Cathay Cineleisure) and chatted about different dating/mating rituals in our respective homelands. Very interesting stuff.

I’m bringing different groups of friends together for tonight’s salsa dancing excursion.

I found a washer and dryer that worked so I didn’t have to waste hours swearing at the laundry paystation and trying different machines.

I am determined to finish writing one essay this weekend and know I can do it.

I have plans to see the Zheng He exhibit at the National Library tomorrow. Afterwards, we’re going to the Raffles Hotel for high tea.

Beth Orton’s playing on iTunes.

I have the best boyfriend in the whole world and he looooooooves me. :D

I guess life in S’pore isn’t so bad. I’ve got to primp for tonight. Excuse me.

So I am trying to figure out where you are and what you are doing. Might be too much for my brain to handle, so maybe you could drop a hint? I guess Singapore? And what are you doing there? Hmm… I say working, but that’s too obvious…

Thanks for all your comments. So nice to know that you care. Don’t worry, I’ll get into the groove of this thing soon…….

mmm…I love good chocolate. I have to add my input here that when it comes to chocolate (not the various concoctions made from it, but real dark chocolate), the French have not only the Germans, but the Swiss and Belgians beat as well. Have you read the book “Chocolate: A Bittersweet Saga of Light and Dark”? It’s a really interesting look at pretty much everything there is about chocolate. (Sorry, I’m a bit of a chocolate dork)

Your posts make me wanna go on exchange…dammit, but the bf won’t let me…

CK: I love good chocolate too! I agree, good French chocolate is to die for. Some of the best chocolate I’ve ever had came from a Parisian chocolate shop. And I’m sure there is better out there. I do like some of the Belgian delights I’ve had before, though. I’ve never been to Belgium before, so for now, I’ll just agree with you. France wins!

Mint: You’re scaring the crap out of me. The bf won’t “let” you? You’ve got to know what I think about that. Stop being jealous and go for it! :)

Hey mintchoco, it’s better to regret something you did, than something you didn’t do…
